Well guys, it happened. I've officially joined the normcore club. First birks and now short overalls. WHO AM I?!?!! In my defense, I don't think I've ever worn a comfier outfit in my life. Seriously. These denim shortalls are soft, lightweight cotton and I haven't taken off the birks since they arrived at my front door three days ago. Hey, at least I didn't get slides.

A few days ago I ran around on a rooftop with my little sis/blog photographer extraordinaire in my favorite high tops, sunnies and new little swing dress. This funnel neck dress has quickly become my go-to. It's perfect for day to night looks with a shoe change, although let's be real. I wouldn't even bother with a shoe change...mainly because I hate heels and I'm obsessed with these sneakers. Kept it simple with sunnies and a little ninja topknot action. Obviously ready for the weekend.

July. The thick of hell summer. From now until September, I loose all hope in my own sense of style. It's too hot for skinnies, intolerable in all black and too muggy for my favorite fabrics (enter leather.) I'm a total AW girl but thanks to the inter web full of inspo, specifically pinterest, I think I may have just saved myself from summer-dressing woes. These dark wash cutoffs by One Teaspoon are a clean base for every summer outfit. As far as tops go...the less fabric, the better. Layer a baggy tank over a cute bralette for a hint of scandal that also keeps you cool. Finish off with ankle booties, light-framed sunnies, a delicate hand piece and a spritz of your favorite scent. BOOM. You're all set for looking cool in the summer sun. Just don't forget that SPF.

Yenny Seo gets it. Since stumbling upon her perfectly curated inspiration on instagram, I've followed suit and now stalk her findings on pinterest, tumblr and the old fashioned way, url. Yenny pulls the best of editorial, lookbooks, art and photography so I don't have to. Just a minute-long scroll on her blog is enough to make one feel more cool-girl. Her post "short cuts" juuuust might have inspired my chop.

Change is good. For me, change came in the form of a fresh new wallet. Although I'm a black freak when it comes to my leathers, something about this classic beige color just made me say yes. The perfect little zip fold wallet by A.P.C. Great for holding my starbucks gold card and stash of copper change, because who carries around actual money anymore?? Psssh.
