I spent the last eight days of my final spring break (YAY) uber-ing around my favorite city. I was able to shoot with some super rad photographers, meet with a couple of my favorite new brands and also stumbled upon the best bottled salad dressing ever (Trader Joe's cilantro, OH MY GOD.) I also got a chance to explore areas I'm not frequently in. In Silver Lake I had the most delicious roasted corn and guacamole from a hidden gem called Mixto. I also grabbed an amazing cold brew coffee at Alfred on Melrose and might have inhaled a GF vegan zucchini brownie. Shhhhhh...It's healthy. Of course I had to head to the westside a few times to brunch at Gjelina on Abbott Kinney, check out the roof top at Hotel Erwin, grab a "mojitobox" from the dudes at Juicebox, wait in the ridiculous afternoon line at Urth on Main Street and also try groundworks coffee at the new Market upstairs in Santa Monica Place. Had an amazing break and will be posting the week's shoots as final selects trickle in. Excuse me while I revisit this post a million times to motivate myself until hell exam week is finished in May. LA, I love you.
There's no denying my love for LA. Waking up to 75 degrees and sunshine 97% of the year is god's personal gift to southern californians. Yeah NYC has crisp coat weather and the uniform in Miami is secured with strings....but LA is just...perfect. Yes, perfect. Freshly pressed juice within a three block radius from anywhere in the city? Check. Where lazy, late afternoon brunches are as much of a Wednesday thing as they are on weekends? Check. Where beach runs and a sunset hike can happen in the same day? Like I said, perfect. This pouch by maptote from fuggiamo reflects my love for the city of angels. From griffith observatory and taco food trucks to the 101 and santa monica, I heart LA.

If you haven't noticed, black and denim are kinda my "ish," and have been for a hot minute. Lately I've been breaking up my usual goth parade by throwing in brown and gold accents. I really love how brown adds cool factor and keeps an all-black-errythang outfit from looking like I belong on AHS. Although I'm a jeans and tee kinda girl, I've really been into button ups as of late. This black cotton shirt from American Eagle is just as comfy as a tee but adds some sophisticated oomph. A chunky brown leather belt and slouchy suede tote easily makes this outfit more spring appropriate. Strappy heeled sandals paired with ripped knee skinnies, both cool girl coset essentials, look hells-cool when pulled together with a pair of classic sunnies, messy bedhead and knuckles full of gold midi-rings. Excuse me while I wear variations of this outfit for the next year and a half. Hey, no judgments. I titled it "uniform" for a reason!

Although I'm skipping coachella this time around, that doesn't mean I can't dress for the occasion. I paired my sky blue clubmasters from my new friends at shades daddy with double denim, stripes and a laid-back tude. This dip dye denim jacket from Umgee is perfect for spring and summer beach'n. Here I threw it over a rad Lovers + Friends striped tank to avoid the overly boho-feel bleached denim sometimes gives. Grabbed my unique fuggiamo tapestry tote to hold my beach date essentials and ran around pretending I was in Palm Springs.

Woke up to an email a few weeks ago from rad sunnies company, Wild Soul. After checking out their site I quickly shot back a "YES" response in regards to a little collaboration. Wild Soul not only has a line of great sunnies but also allows customers to choose which charity the company donates to as soon as you add to cart. Vintage vibes with a cool metal brow bar, the "black owl" pair have become a new go-to. Summer weather yesterday called for basics like my favorite vintage jeans, now reappearing as cutoffs, and a light scoop neck tee by umgee.
