Rain and crap weather is always a bummer since it means closed toe shoes and weather-proof clothing, which let's face it, makes looking like a bag lady swathed in cling-wrap unavoidable. Street style seems to flood down the storm drain along with the slightest downpour. The cure for rainy day fashion blues? A clear, CUSTOM raincoat that looks just as rad in rain or sunshine?! Each one comes with unique custom patches (for all you "I get it custom" snobs.) Oh and the best part? Only sixty bucks. Yes..6-0. Gimmie rain everyday.
Photographed gorgeous model Ashley with Muse NYC late one night. Yeah, I made her roll around on the floor, I'm brutal to work with like that. Here are some of my favs. Oh and, plaid pants what?! As always you can catch the rest on my photo blog.
Raddest shoes for Spring/Summer ever? I need these. You need these. That is all. Oh and they come in black as well, perfect for all my OCD friends worried about maintaining white leather. You're welcome.
So I went to Palm Springs for a mini vacation this past weekend! This was my first time in the desert excluding work shoots and Coachella so I was pretty pumped. Stayed at The Ace Hotel & Swim Club, ran around town for a minute (thought I was going to die of heat stroke) then had dinner at Citron at The Viceroy Hotel (scallops. you're welcome) the first night. Ordered room service for breakfast the next morning (homemade granola & yogurt is amazeballs) then hung at the pool (I don't think I've seen so many tattoos in one place outside of Silver Lake) and then had dinner at Mister Parker's at The Parker Hotel (coolest hotel ever?!)

How did you enjoy the long weekend??
Took some pics of blonde model babe, Shawnee, this past weekend. Yeah I have a blonde obsession, so what?! Cameo pants, velvet shorts her boyfriend bought her for Christmas (best boyfriend award?), vintage band tees, beanies galore and a killer pair of striped Free People jeans. Ran around the neighborhood barely able to contain my excitement..."roll around on the hood of that car", "OMG cactus!". Yup, that pretty much sums up our awesome shoot.
Here are some of my favs...
Rummaging in the "for dry cleaning" bag that sat collecting dust in a dark corner of the garage when there, tucked between an emerald velvet dress and a shoulder padded blouse I found a coat. Black, thick wool, four buttoned with fur trimmed collar and matching cuffs. It simply screamed martinis and stockings held up with a lacy garter belt (mom?) I quickly pulled off all my clothes and threw it on like an oversized dress. Paired it with my funky Aldo Rise block heels and took some pics by the shed. This vintage beauty of a coat will definitively be seeing New York fashion week this Fall. Adorned with the red lip and diamonds it deserves.
Oh and, thanks mom.
What's your favorite place to find awesome vintage??
Nothing screams Saturday like a comfy tee shirt, skinnies and ankle booties. Here I am pictured wearing my favorite grey track shirt by American Apparel, Cheap Monday second skin high waisted skinnies, and American Eagle ankle booties I got from the Back to School Campaign I shot with them. Also wearing this rad copper-cuff bracelet I received for Christmas from a cousin who hand makes jewelry.
What's your go-to Saturday style??
Threw on this Unis New York cameo jacket and all of a sudden....you can't see me.

Nasty Gal is one of the radest e-com destinations not only for great clothes and accessories but also for cool inspiration. Their lookbooks are fun, colorful and completely lust worthy. The new January lookbook "pop rocks" is quite literally, poppin! Cool prints, stripes, bursts of color and metallics (still surprisingly fresh) hit all kinds of cool girl status shot on a bleach blonde babe in downtown LA. I'm already trying failing to narrow down my virtual shopping cart to a few essentials (like this amazeballs dress) and fantasizing about going platinum (what??!!).
and because I couldn't chose a favorite....

those tights though!
Which is your fav??
A recent trip to La Brea included a stop into GLCO (Garrett Leight California Optical), because how could I walk by the cool sunnie shop and not go in to play eye-dress up?! Scanning the shelves lined with unique vintage-inspired shades I found a stand out. "No. I don't need them." (my conscious' attempt at discouraging the purchase.) I set down the perfectly thick, glossy, over sized, dark tortoise, slight cat-eye shaped sunglasses and headed across the street to American Rag but even trying on a slew of printed denim couldn't get my mind off of those damn sunnies! Running back to GL I realized I had found the ultimate, Olsen twin-worthy, hater-blockers. Designed by French visionary Thierry Lasry and handcrafted in France using the highest quality Italian acetate these sunglasses are a masterpiece. They're the perfect sturdy, ever day sunnie and work some serious magic whether shielding your peepers or double-timing as a head band. Yeah, they ain't cheap but they are worth every Benjamin.

Wooo It's 2013 and some of you may still be recovering from a crazy Monday night (it MUST have been good.) My night consisted of a grape adventure (Trader Joe's closes early on holidays FYI), amazing thai food takeout, running around West Hollywood with an Instax mini camera (scanned pics later), watching American Gypsy, counting down the final seconds on the walk of fame in a sea of tourists, some more photo fun with a Lumix on Melrose Ave, succumbing to dirty kmart feet by taking off my heels and culminating with amazeballs deserts and whipped cream from Bristol Farms (mini caramel pecan cheescake, 'nuff said.) Yup, it was a grand 'ole time.
